Question about candle

Ok i am a noobs...

i don't know how to use candle..
and what is a candle can do... (what is the function of candle)

no one make guide about candle and i already search it.
all it says there is a quest need item candle..

there are 2 things at merchandizer, that i don't know "what is the function of that item"
1. candle.
2. some thing on the left candle.

can some one tell me how to use that 2 item
or make some guide about that 2 item.
